Difficult to hold annual exams, say VCs

As per a TOI,Report Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari held a virtual meeting with the university administrators in Maharashtra.
He discussed with the vice chancellors of the universities in Maharashtra whether it was feasible to hold the annual exams at this time.
The VCs told him that considering the rising number of Coronavirus cases, it would be difficult to hold the university annual exams any time before May 15.
The governor told the universities to take on e-learning measures to help children continue their classes from home.

6-member task force created to plan academic schedule

As per an HT, State report MaharashtraE Minister Uday Samant that a 6-member task force had been set up by the state government to form a plan regarding the Maharashtra Board final exams after looking at the circumstances.
The task force has to make a detailed plan of how the universities would hold exams under two circumstance if lockdown is lifted after April 14, and if lockdown is extended.
The high level task force comprises the VCs of Mumbai University, Pune University, Kolhapur University and SNDT.
The task force noted that even if the lockdown was lifted after April 14, the final exams would have to be held no earlier than May 15 as they were not prepared to hold the annual exams yet.
